This year's NERCOMP Annual Conference, hosted by EDUCUASE and NERCOMP, is moving online.
Please join us and your higher education IT peers virtually for three days of both live and on-demand content on the current struggles and solutions in higher education IT; opportunities to engage with fellow IT professionals, librarians, faculty, researchers, and innovative solution providers; and virtual corporate exhibits on the latest technologies from solution providers, including Duo Security.
The conference will kick off on Tuesday, June 23 at 9:00 a.m. with a presentation by Kalimah Priforc, followed by breakout sessions and self-guided breaks until 1:45 p.m. The second day of the conference will consist of on-demand content and virtual exhibits from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and then the event will conclude with a final day of live online content on Thursday, June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Duo Security will have a talk available during the event: "When MFA Goes Wrong and How to Set it Right," presented by Duo Group Product Manager Steve Won. In this presentation, Steve will discuss how how MFA methods have evolved, provide a dissection of several successful attacks, and elaborate on how modern MFA solutions fare against the same threats. Additionally, you will learn about our new Device Health application, which extends control over which laptop and desktop devices can access corporate applications based on the security posture of the device, thereby reducing the risk of security breaches (ransomware, malware, data loss, etc.)
