Duo Desktop for Linux

Version 4.7.0 - July 28, 2026

  • Fixed an issue where encryption status was reported incorrectly in certain environments.
  • Fixed an issue that would prevent security agents from being reported in older versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • The reported identifier for the Trusted Endpoints feature will now fall back to /etc/machine-id when the primary identifier is not available.
  • The app no longer requires the presence of the dmidecode utility.
  • Minor security improvements and enhancements.

Duo Desktop for macOS

Version 7.21.0.0 - September 8, 2026

  • Duo Desktop will now ask for permission to collect error and usage data when starting up. This is optional and can be enabled or disabled at any point in the app's preferences. Administrators can also set this preference system-wide to bypass the start-up prompt.
