Duo Desktop for Linux

Version 4.2.0 - March 6, 2025

  • Added infrastructure to allow for long-running health checks.

  • Fixed an issue where the app's files were not being installed as the root user on Debian-based systems.

Duo Desktop for macOS

Version 7.4.0.0 - February 5, 2025

  • Fixed an issue where SentinelOne could not be detected properly on case-sensitive volumes.
  • Reduced the interval for checking for automatic updates to the app.
  • Minor improvements and enhancements.

Version 7.2.0.0 - December 3, 2024

  • The user experience for managing the app's communication certificate has been updated. On a fresh install, users will be presented with a new interface to generate a certificate after the installer exits. In addition, when the certificate is close to expiration, a message will be shown in the app to indicate renewal is required. Please note that admins who have disabled certificate management will be exempt from these changes. See Duo KB article 8985 for more information.

  • The app can now properly detect whether it is running in a virtual machine on Macs with Apple silicon.

  • Fixed an issue where POST requests to the app started to fail in Safari 18. This could cause issues with the registration process or prevent Duo Passport from functioning properly.
