Duo Desktop for Linux

  • Duo Desktop device registration is now supported on Linux.

  • Updating to this release enables the automatic launch setting for all users regardless of the previous state of the setting. This resolves an issue where the setting became disabled in Duo Desktop 6.0.0. Users who had previously disabled this setting and wish to keep it disabled will need to go into Duo Desktop's preferences and disable it again.

  • Resolves an issue in version 5.2.0 (CVE-2023-20229 Cisco Security Advisory) where a vulnerability in the CryptoService function of the Duo Device Health Application for Windows could allow an authenticated, local attacker with low privileges to conduct directory traversal attacks and overwrite arbitrary files on an affected system.
