Covisint customers across healthcare, manufacturing and energy will benefit from bolstered security

RSA Conference 2012 — San Francisco — February 28, 2012 — Duo Security LLC, an authentication-as-a-service software provider, today announced a new partnership with Covisint, a Compuware company and leader in cloud-based enterprise collaboration. The partnership and integration of the two companies’ services will bring multi-factor authentication to Covisint customers via mobile devices. Covisint will demonstrate the new offering at RSA Conference in booth #554.

Covisint helps businesses share critical information between employees, suppliers, partners and customers by having them first authenticate to the Covisint platform, commonly with a username and password. Duo Security leverages users’ mobile phones, adding a second factor of authentication that significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to valuable information and systems.

The Duo Security platform very easily integrates with a variety of server applications and network appliances. With this latest partnership, Covisint customers will be able to enable Duo’s two-factor authentication capability with a simple configuration change. End users will be able to leverage an existing phone — home, work, or mobile — with their Duo-enabled user account. When logging into an application or service that runs on the Covisint platform they can receive and respond to a phone call, text message, or push notification from Duo Security in order to securely authenticate to the Covisint application.
