Duo Epic for Hyperdrive with Duo Universal Prompt

Beta Version 1.9.10 - January 22, 2026

  • Adds support for new Duo certificate authorities.
  • Bundles the Microsoft Edge WebView2 installer directly into the Duo Epic Hyperdrive installer instead of downloading from Microsoft during install.

Beta Version 1.9.9 - December 8, 2025

  • Beta release of Duo Universal Prompt authentication for Epic Hyperdrive. The browser-based Universal Prompt now appears in an Edge webview window. Learn more in the beta documentation.
  • Adds the Duo Secret Key Rotation tool in the Duo Epic Hyperdrive installation directory to assist administrators with updating the application's SKey to a new value when required.

Duo Epic for Hyperdrive

Version 1.2.0 - August 20, 2024

  • The installer now encrypts the Duo secret key (SKEY) information in the registry. Prior versions left the secret key information viewable in plain text. Resolves Cisco Security Advisory CVE-2024-20503.
    • We recommend all customers upgrade Duo Epic Hyperdrive clients to this version. Be aware that GPOs with Duo for Epic configuration information will contain the unencrypted SKEY and push that unencrypted info to targeted clients on GPO refresh. Avoid configuring Duo for Epic Hyperdrive via GPO if you wish to maintain the SKEY as secured information.

Version 1.0.1 - May 24, 2023

  • Corrects an issue preventing login when a user's only Duo authentication method is a hardware token.
  • Removed support for the EpicUsernameSource GPO setting.
